Requirement for a new R&D laboratory facility at Danone’s Auckland location began the design & consultation journey with Westlab being jointly engaged by Danone and the head contractor, Flightform Commercial Projects.

Particular specifics such as PC2 compliance meant the Westlab team was a valuable partner in the project, being able to assist with lab-grade compact laminate joinery throughout to meet the high specification.

Westlab was pleased to provide the end-user with the underbench, wall-mounted & storage joinery using our innovative and hygienic compact laminate panels. Resistant to impact, wear & moisture, these compact laminate panels are perfect for a vast array of joinery applications in commercial & interior spaces. Westlab’s innovative & efficient manufacturing capabilities, tooling and compact laminate experience provide the end-user with a number of performance benefits and ensures a successful joinery project.

Furthermore, efficiency improvements were made with the use of the Modulab Connect system, giving ultimate flexibility for future reconfiguration in the space and ensuring a high return on investment (ROI).

The overall outcome achieved was an aesthetical and functional laboratory space that will be relevant well into the future through the use of the Modulab Connect laboratory joinery system. This enables the Danone lab team to continue delivering excellence and uphold the companies high standards as a multinational food industry leader.
