As a leading global appliance brand, Fisher & Paykel set out to create a world-class materials laboratory within its new global headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand. The purpose-built facility was designed to support material testing, quality assurance and ongoing product development, providing Fisher & Paykel with a high-performance laboratory environment within its new headquarters.
Working alongside RTA Studio, Westlab was engaged to deliver the complete laboratory fitout, with a strong focus on functionality, compliance and alignment with the architectural vision of the new building. The project required a laboratory environment that not only met the technical demands of Fisher & Paykel’s testing and quality assurance functions, but also complemented the high-quality aesthetic of the wider headquarters.
Westlab delivered the complete laboratory fitout, including bespoke laboratory benching and joinery, sinks and tapware, fume extraction systems, chemical storage and associated laboratory infrastructure. Each element was carefully integrated into the space to provide a practical, durable and compliant working environment while maintaining a clean and sophisticated appearance.

The completed facility successfully brings together performance, functionality and design, with the outcome receiving strong approval from Fisher & Paykel, RTA Studio and the Westlab team.
