XING Technologies (Stage 2)

XING Technologies, based in Brisbane Australia, have proprietary diagnostic nanotechnology platforms which promise to dramatically reduce the costs for screening of disease, enable early and accurate diagnosis as well as monitoring of disease, and provide precision in guiding therapy.

The application of this technology is global, detecting genetic markers in applications such as agriculture, aquaculture, veterinary science and human health and wellness. The 3 key technologies addressed by XING Technologies are Single-Drop Genomics, Single Drop Proteomics or SDP and Circulating Tumour Cell Capture.

The Westlab projects team worked with the XING Technologies laboratory and management team to design, manufacture and install the new QLD Brisbane laboratories. The laboratories currently facilitate 7 staff but has the flexibility to house up to 16 staff comfortably.

The project was broken into two sections. The first section is a hub-and-spoke research and development laboratory that is adaptable to facilitate current and future requirements.

The second laboratory is a PC2 DNA Sequencing laboratory that required careful consideration to the throughput nature of the workflow. Central service locations and wipeable surfaces were both important factors to the successful delivery.
