As part of the Victorian School Building Authority, $128 million had been allocated to the Tech Schools initiative for the construction and establishment of 10 Tech Schools across the state, with further ongoing funding to support operation.
The core challenge for Wyndham Tech School was to align the STEM space to industries that were predicted to experience strong economic and employment growth such as Health, Transport and logistics, Scientific and technical professional services and Construction.
The team at Westlab worked closely with the directors at Wyndham Tech, the Architect (Gray Puksand) and the builders (Harris HMC) to refine finishes that were suitable to the application such as cabinetry framework, benchtop materials and a full range of STEM equipment.
As a result, Westlab manufactured and installed a full state-of-art STEM joinery package and related fittings and fixtures at Wyndham Tech School in Werribee delivering a stunning outcome.
