For over 40 years, St Thomas More College has provided secondary school education to students in Sunnybank, Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.

St Thomas More College has established a reputation as an inclusive faith, learning community with a key focus on the pastoral care of all students. Thus, creating a strong platform that ensures the individual success of students post-secondary school.

Westlab was engaged by the school to assist with the upgrade of the science classrooms benches. This included the use of benchtop material that is writable, giving students scope for creativity and collaboration whilst learning. Additional flexibility in the room was increased with the use of STEM benches on castors, meaning students could group together as a cluster or wheel into individual settings. Storage throughout the space was maximised with the use of the Gratnells tray system, along with underbench Gratnells trolleys in sections of the room.

The creation of a dynamic space was the key outcome in this project, with students and teachers alike enjoying a flexible learning space that supports creativity and academic achievements.
