St Peters Lutheran College is an independent, co-educational, Lutheran, day and boarding school, situated on a 21 hectares campus in Indooroopilly, an inner suburb of Brisbane, Queensland.
The Westlab projects team worked closely with the laboratory user group, Burling Brown Architects and Integral Constructions to come up with a laboratory space and preparation room that is functional, flexible and aesthetically pleasing.
Key aspects that assisted with the college’s decision to work with Westlab included our core design capabilities, workflow assessment, material suitability and flexibility of the Modulab Connect system.
The outcome achieved was a stunning space, focused on student outcomes and quick lesson changeovers. Utilising the proprietary Australian made ‘Modulab Connect’ benching system, that can be further adapted in the future for the changing requirements.

From the initial online consultation, to the final checking of the layout just prior to fitting, the Westlab team were continually looking for ways to improve the design and deliver the spaces we needed.
They were instrumental in ensuring the architect delivered functional labs. The suggestions and improvements they made during the design process resulted in very flexible, functional and robust learning environments that are a joy to teach in. In addition, the spaces look inviting and modern, and were delivered within our very tight budget constraints. The students love the spaces as much as the teachers do, and the lab techs have more than adequate storage space.
