Lonza Group is a Swiss multinational, chemicals and biotechnology company, headquartered in Basel, with major facilities in Europe, North America and South Asia.

The Westlab projects team worked with the team at Lonza to design, manufacture and install a new laboratory facility at the new Melbourne location.

Key aspects that assisted with Lonza’s decision to work with Westlab included our core design capabilities, workflow assessment, material suitability and flexibility of the Modulab Connect system. Careful consideration was made to sample flow within the laboratory to provide efficiencies with each test.

The outcome achieved was a stunning space, focused on throughput efficiencies and a product that will stand up to the durable nature of laboratory work. Further to this, the laboratory can be added to in order to cater for future growth and changing requirements.
