Our challenge was to design a complete new laboratory facility that was fully compliant to Australian standards that could meet Logan City Council’s growth requirements within a budget of 2.5M AUD.
The leadership team at the Logan City Council required a new laboratory building due to the age and inefficiencies of their existing facility.
In the feasibility stages they had quotes for an in-situ laboratory exceeding five million dollars and the project was set aside due to the cost. Westlab reignited this opportunity through collaboration with the team at Logan City Council and was able to value engineer the laboratory requirements and propose a 2.5million outcome with the assistance of a relocatable building specialist. The Team at Westlab value engineered an outcome and worked closely with a modular building company and Logan City Council to deliver the complete laboratory facility.
The team achieved an outstanding result with the project completed on time and on budget.
Our new water testing laboratory was designed and delivered by Westlab. Throughout this project Westlab regularly liaised with our laboratory staff to ensure the facility was designed to meet our specific requirements. The construction and fit out of the laboratory was efficient and cost effective and the facility delivered has met all of our requirements
