Gene Technology Access Centre (GTAC) is Victoria’s leading source of Life Sciences learning and education. GTAC provides an innovative and collaborative educational environment in which Victorian students and educators access life science expertise.
The Westlab projects team worked closely with GTAC board and end-users to design, manufacture and install a state-of-the art laboratory that is functional, flexible and sterile, to assist the students in immersing themselves in a life sciences journey of learning and discovery.
Key aspects that assisted with GTAC’s decision to work with Westlab included our core design capabilities, material suitability (benchtop chemical and heat resistance) and flexibility of the Modulab Connect system.
The outcome achieved was a stunning space, focused on long term durability, functionality and most of all, student outcomes. Utilising the proprietary Australian made ‘Modulab Connect’ benching system, that can be further adapted in the future for the changing requirements.
