Deakin University identified the need to facilitate a new era in engineering and industrial design education in Australia. This resulted in the funding approval for the CADET centre (Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering Training) at Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
Cockram Construction had the challenge of delivering the complete CADET laboratory furniture package within a very short timeframe.
The space had to be custom designed to facilitate the following lab spaces; Design and realisation studios, Digital manufacturing laboratory, 3D printers and Network sensing control laboratories.
Westlab were chosen by Cockram Construction to deliver the complete laboratory furniture package within a tight timeframe.
Westlab manufactured and installed a complete laboratory package including a full specialist joinery system, island tables, laboratory trolleys and ceiling hanging service spines.
