Founded in 1956, Blackburn High School is a public secondary school for both girls and boys in years 7 to 12 in Blackburn North, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The school motto ‘Ad Lucem Crescimus’ – Growing towards the light, is central to their core values. The purpose underlying the school’s mission is to engage the school community in a positive culture that embraces team work, innovation and excellence.
Westlab was engaged by Tectura Architects to assist with the science joinery package included in the school’s new STEM centre. The design team within our Spaces division worked alongside the architect to develop the student modules, which were manufactured and delivered in a timely manner due to our local manufacturing capabilities.
Overall, a fantastic outcome in a modern STEM space which will play a crucial role in each student’s academic achievements and trajectory into the world of science.
