Biomar has built a $60 million factory at Wesley Vale in Tasmania to produce world class fish feed for the aquaculture industry in Australia and beyond. A part of this build included a state of the art laboratory to house the high level testing instruments and general lab equipment for this facility.
Westlab’s projects team was excited to work with BioMar Australia on their laboratory design, fit out and joinery package to ensure highly accurate outcomes for their laboratory tests. Careful consideration was made around the laboratory layout to ensure efficient workflows and a collaborative space.
The laboratory space is compartmentalised into three purposed built rooms and equipped with Westlab’s flagship modular furniture system, Modulab Connect®. Westlab was also involved in the supply and installation of the equipment and consumable packages.

The installation process was fast and seamless with a very high standard of safety and the fit and finish was excellent.
