Scientists in the Northern Territory can now pursue the highest quality agriculture and biosecurity research, with the completion of the new, level 3 capability laboratory at the Berrimah Farm Science Precinct.
Westlab’s laboratory design team worked closely with the architects and builders to create a lean, functional and PC3 certified space to assist with this cutting-edge laboratory hub.
The new biosecurity hub will be more than ten times the size of the current facility and will house the latest technology in molecular diagnostics, a technique to diagnose and monitor disease and detect risk for animals.
This new laboratory precinct will allow over 50 researchers to do their best work in the NT region, and will boost Australia’s biosecurity diagnostic capacity.
